Korea is under a cold snap nationwide with minus eight degrees Celsius in store for Seoul Monday morning.
The Korea Meteorological Administration says a cold wave advisory has been issued for parts of Gyeonggi and Gangwon provinces starting Sunday night. The cold wave advisory is usually announced when the morning temperature is expected to drop by 10 degrees or more compared to the day before.
The weather authority says the cold spell this time around is expected to hit its deepest point on Tuesday and break around Wednesday.
