A treasure ship discovered by a local fisherman beneath the West Sea near Taean in May of last year is to be displayed to the public.
According to the Cultural Heritage of Administration of Korea, only 20 percent of the ship was found, but that is enough for scholars to further understand the history and development of ships in the Goryeo Dynasty.
The ship sank one-thousand years ago, carrying more than 20-thousand treasures which were mostly celadon porcelain, the signature item of the Goryeo Dynasty.
Those relics will be showcased in Gangjin, South Jeolla Province, from August 9th to September 21st.
