Starting next month, commuters in Korea will pay LOWER freeway tolls during certain times of the day.
This is part of measures the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs has announced to ease the economic burden of the public, hit by rising consumer prices.
The plan was part of a list of policies the ministry announced during its first policy briefing to President Lee Myungbak Monday.
The ministry will also ease regulations on land purchases by businesses in line with President Lee's vision of sweeping deregulation to create a business-friendly environment.
